Got notification of the dates yesterday for my house sitting gig in County Mayo, so, if all goes well, me and the old camper will be heading out to Belfast on the ferry early April for a few weeks 😃👌👏

Likely to be travelling on my own if Neil doesn’t want to, or isn’t able to come.

This will be my first time ever in Norn Ireland and first time ever in County Mayo 😳🫣🤞👍👌

Not planned anything in particular outside of the couple of weeks I’m tied to Mayo but I have no particular reason to rush back as next trip away will be Orkney in June, so I should have the whole of May to muck around with… 👌✌️

So exited for you I’ve been trying to get there for years but the hospital gods kept putting things in the way and other family things were the same but 🤞🤞this year we will make it.

I’m excited and nervous about going, but being asked to do this house sit has given me the shove up the backside and motivation to get out there adventuring a bit again…

Not sure, but I think there are a few well established websites and so on that you can register with?

This is purely a one off for someone I know who retired and moved over to live in Ireland last summer and asked before she left if I would house sit for them at this particular time.

She’s off to Holland for her mother’s 91st birthday and her husband will be back in England at the same time doing a regular woodworking stint. They have pets and plants to look after. 🐈‍⬛🐕🪴🌱

Sounds great. Was very regular visitor to Ireland pre van .
Curious, which ferry, price ?

Housesitting friend has made some preliminary suggestions. Haven't started looking at ferries just yet. Also it's around Easter time, so I maybe need to think about heading over there a little earlier.... how annoying (not!) ... ;)👏😊

Think I need a GB sticker for the van as a first on the list of prep.
Anything else anyone is aware of that I might need, please feel free to suggest away to your heart's content! 🙏 🤗

Not sure about a sticker for NI, but it's UK now so they think you're from the Ukrane.
