Welcome to the forum. Lots of useful advice on here. Generally speaking there are lots of places you can "wild camp" / park up without permission, laybys etc, car parks that allow it. Private land you would have to establish who owns it and go and ask them really. Im not sure many do that though.

Sadly maccauk 11 almost all land is privately owned and you are not allowed to camp, our rather confusing name refers to us camper van owners who skulk about in car parks and laybys. Sorry.
