Ok, I am the forums luddite when it comes to technology, the very word gives me brain freeze. Well, today I fitted a tracker and found it incredibly easy to do. AND IT WORKS!!!!
Alright, I guess this is no big deal for most of you guys but to me it is like bathing in warm alcoholic custard with the odd sticky toffee pudding thrown in.

Steve gave me some tips at Druridge [thanks mate], did it differently to what you suggested but you gave me the confidence to give it a go.

great minds think alike izzy re IT and technology..... i am a luddite also..... i bought a new music centre this last week (1970's model) and watched YouTube film to find out how to wire up the speakers and the more challenging aerial - i were reet chuffed as well - the sound is lovely and more satisfying cos i persevered to teach myself how to do it.

but at one point i wondered why i could not get cables wrapped round a screw - suddenly realised i was trying to do it left handed !!!!! DOH i'm right handed... so i switched over and hey presto got it done in seconds.

praps we could have a thread with your title ........what made you chuffed withyourself today.......??????? justa thought

Well, the thread is already here really, so...

I've washed the van today & given it a reet good scrub.
Also done a reet proper Cheerful Charlie job on the bathroom & loo, scrubbed & disinfected to within an inch of their life.

Feeling pretty chuffed - but knackered!!! :D

At least we'll turn up clean at Henley even if we are old & knackered (that's both us AND the van!)

Maire - i cant claim to be as fond of cleaning stuff myself as you are - but i did pay a hand car wash setup a mere £12 to wash the van for me today !!! i will clean the inside myself in day or two - i'm getting ready for a longish trip.... cant wait....

Never thought about that. Hmm. We have quite a few hand car washes around here. TBH it would have been worthwhile as it is a tedious, lengthy job once you start. It's the height that makes it awkward!

Sooo..... curiosity killed the cat........ where are you off to then? :)

Do the honours Trixie - expect some rum ones though.

im a big duno with this machine..........i dunno how to start it......however, with your newly aquired knowledge

you will know how to doit..........anyway its your title.........might make some interestig readig.......lost me n ow

ah... posted this before i read thru threads......its already taking off.......lol

ROI - for a couple of months. This will be the third year i have done this. i love it. Last year i met cousins i never knew existed !!! We are still in touch, so thats lovely. i returned from there in June last year then went off to France for 2 months. But this year has been a difficult business year, so have not had as much free time. I dont do www while i am away. if anyone wants me they can text and i will ring them. Works for me. I have just had a new 1980's cassette/radio fitted in the van and new speakers... and i am in heaven as i have about 100 new classical cassettes (off freecycle) !!

my kind neighbour volunteered to fibre glass the rear of my van where my reversing skills caused damage and it feels as smooth as silk and looks fab.... i bought a spray paint yesterday for him to finish off.... i wont know myself !!! i have now had a new reversing camera fitted... and i am trying to get used to its wide angle lens... but it will, fingers crossed, help with the reversing....

Hand car washes are great for cars.

Trouble is, they don't just wash the cars by hand, they use jet washers. I wouldn't let one anywhere near a motorhome.

They want a quick clean so they use jet washers that are too powerful and the chemicals they use are too strong. Like you Rob, I wouldn't let them near my MH nor a car that I valued. I once let them loose on a Saab, there was swirl patterns in the paintwork on the rear door where they used the lance too close, never used them again.
