I love finding and visiting film locations. Done a fair few, some by accident. In the 2000s on a boys trip we tried to find all the locations for Monty Python and the Holy Grail. A fair few were filmed in Doune castle near Stirling. We got there thinking we would be the first to do the pilgrimage but the gift shop was selling blooming half coconuts and little Python figures.

The Roman Bridge in Cordoba also features as part of the twins bridge, in Game of Thrones.

A lot was filmed here, one day at a old monastery a bus load of followers arrived dressed up with swords etc, I ask one chap what's all this and after telling me I said with a smile, er right mate whatever floats your boat, my kids nearly wet themselves with laughter, grown me I ask you.

I suppose its not as daft as grown men galloping around a Scottish castle banging two halves of a coconut together.

You donate to go all the way to Spain, a well known British mystery series was film in our local woods, Sussex, I saw the huge vans and chatted to one of the crew.
Admittedly the damp wood was not nearly so attractive as that lovely castle.
