If you are driving through Spain!

Long before the beacons had to have connectivity, we purchased a 4 pack for the van. Glad we have not needed them (up to yet). We did break down on the outskirts of Madrid last year but were able to park out of the way. Using our mobile phone,s , help arrived within the hour.
The irony is, as far as I know, all vehicles have amber beacons fitted on all 4 corners already.
Not upgraded to gps enabled yet.

If I needed to carry a beacon on a Motorhome I would be tempted to silicon a steel disc somewhere on the vehicle ready for deployment.

Not that I would need to on my PVC, nor do I go abroad in the van really.
That`s exactly what i did with the Multimo satellite dish we had, i epoxy resined the magnet to an old CD then it would bolt on the base of the dish and that i could deploy and adjust through the lounge Heki

Worked brilliantly down to almost the Pyrenees.

Hope I don't tempt fate with this ... We have 2 Triangles, and one of my driving routines is to check the display every 15-20 seconds as part of a rotation of the head - display, offside mirror, nearside mirror, display - to get early warning of any potential problems. Hi-Vis Vests can be grabbed from each Captain's Seat, and our phones have the emergency location setting as part of the personal security setting. Fingers crossed! :ROFLMAO:

More junk to carry. :ROFLMAO:
Been carrying 5 Nightsearcher Pulsar lights for years. Fortunately never needed in a breakdown, but I do use them occasionally when camping.

How would you place the beacon on a motorhome roof?

Are there any other legal positions and for a motorhome would the beacon be visible in daylight from all directions if it was possible to place on a roof?

At least with a pair of warning triangles they are easily spotted by approaching vehicles in both directions.

I take it the beacon replaces triangles rather than being in addition to.

And what about visibility on a winding bendy road? A car speeds around a corner and suddenly without advance warning there is a large motorhome stuck in the road with a beacon on top.
