If I head north to Scotland from here it stays light for longer...

Is there a corresponding reduction in day length as you head south through France?

The answer will depend on what time of year it is. If you head north to Scotland in winter it stays light for shorter. If you are talking about summer in France, then yes, the daylight hours are shorter as you go south.

Yes, I meant summer.

Thanks Alison, I only thought about this yesterday, remembering how much later it stayed light when we were in Scotland, compared to down here.

Definitely, it is a well known mathematical fact that it is inversely proportion to the amount of wine purchased on route.

Great map 2cv. I've been playing with it when I should be finalising packing the camper for the weekend!

I've been out all day, so haven't looked yet.

I suppose my post should have read noticeable difference.
