Ideal Sleeping Arrangements

Well, I have bitten the ruddy bullet so to speak and bought 2 single gold Raskelfs over the dog and bone. With covers and zip sheets. 2' 6" wide. Will put 1 0n top of other if not any good on single.

Bet it's rubbish and I end up with another blow up one! (does he do S&M with that stick????? - wouldn't have to sleep then!):D:D:D

I use a winter weight sleeping bag as a mattress topper. Very comfy and easy to store.

Got one

Well - as we already have the self inflating mattresses and the wool mattress topper (even betterer than the feather ones IMO) we went and got a 1" memory foam topper from B&M for £34 squid :p

Noticed the difference first night :D - still not quite there though

We have a memory foam mattress topper on the KS overcab, but I'm always too hot up there and I don't think memory foam offers much ventilation. The best night's sleep I've had was sleeping on new (cheap) 13tog duvet as a mattress topper.

Doesn't sound like much of a solution, but try it - you may be surprised.

What we have now is - we make the bed up every night from the seat cushions which are approx 6" thick - then a self inflating mattress on top of that, covered by one of those double layer wool mattress toppers and then sheets - sounds good dunnit but its uncomfy for me.

no wonder , you must be hitting your head on the ceiling !

memory foam topper is the solution , after getting one myself i sleep in my van even when i am at home as the bed is more comfortable than my 'sealy posturewhatsits' mattress :)

Hi, we used to have a old ford transit autosleeper, i could never get comfy, we tried the memory foam topper, inflatable mattress & bog standard foam... none of which worked! ended up with an old futon mattress & that did the trick!! only problem being that we couldn't put the bed up! problem solved now, got a memory foam mattress & a pull down bed! good luck!
