We’ve just watched the above programme on catch-up (iPlayer - BBC Scotland Thursday 2030). Thoroughly enjoyed it and what fantastic pictures of the Outer Hebrides. Well worth a watch, especially if you are thinking of going there with the motorhome.

Really enjoyed that, we've been up there twice with the van,the fist time the weather was terrible, our wee dog lifted his leg on one of the beaches and got blown over the wind was that bad,he was like tumble weed, the second time was the opposite, fantastic beaches sreaching for miles and the scenery was amazing, need to get back up there.

Done it twice in the camper. First time was a quick visit but realised we needed to spend more time. It was very relaxed as far as campervans when we done it about 8years ago and wilding next to the beautiful beaches wasn’t a problem.

Thanks for the heads up Tony, we`ll watch it later (y)

Been over several times with the motorhome especially when the wife still had her book cover business so the first stop and overnight was the Harris Tweed company were we spent thousands just off the ferry at Tarbert :)

She was accredited by Harris Tweed to use their fabric and labels after making and sending them samples of her work, after that they issued the official labels so she could stich them onto ther products.

The Americans went crazy for Harris Tweed and 90% of her work went to them in custom made bible covers for which money was no object o_O
