Hymer wing mirror.

I am in Stornoway trying out our new (to us) van before a 6 month house hunting trip to Portugal in a couple of weeks.
On the way up, we were swiped by a corporation bus and my RHS wing mirror is now in bits.
Anybody know where to start looking for a replacement for a 1998 Hymer Merc S510?
Are there any motorhome breakers for 2nd hand parts?

Be carefull what you buy from E Bay this is how my new mirror rubbers ended up, I did get a full refund however, Fiat wing Mirrors left and right,

I don't know if this will help, but I swiped a tree which jumped out into the road and walloped my mirror. I thought it was going to be a cost in the hundreds but for less than £20 I found a replacement.

Do you have any pics I can see? When you say its in bits, is it completely smashed or just in a few pieces. The mirror glass is available in plastic sheet form from most motor factors, our local WILCO has it. Can be cut with scissors and super glued in place. However, you still need something to stick it to, hence the need to see the damage.

BTW, I mean this as a temp fix to get you to Portugal, a proper one may be a bit harder. I'll be in Portugal mid Apr, no further south than Oporto though

Thanks for the replies, what a great resource this is.
I have managed to get a flat glass as a temp replacement.
I will try the Mekra one as it looks very similar.
Might send them photos to confirm.

At the moment we are stormbound in Stornoway so staying with my brother for a shower and catch up and raid his whisky collection.
Next ferry out is Friday if the wind dies a little, wife not looking forward to the trip, bought every seasick remedy available now....

Have you tried the American marine tip,ginger t nut biscuits or ginger ale.one of my sons when was small suffered bad with it and a guy in Carnac in France gave us 2 tabs for his sickness and told us about ginger and it did work for my son.

Seasickness

Only ever suffered seasickness once, heel and toeing across the North Sea years ago and I wouldn't relish experiencing it again.

The only surefire way of avoiding seasickness is to sit under an Oak tree in my opinion.

Same here, I was told to eat a large meal before boarding, this was while I was leaning over the side feeling like ----.
So when I got the chance I went to the canteen & ate a few biscuits & cheese, It was amazing, I wasn't ill after & the next time I sailed I did the same, brill trip, no dizziness, or sickness, so that's my remedy!
 
Ginger sweets were recommended by the chemist so we have them.
Wind is down to 18 mph so dawdle for me but wife still bricking it.
