We are on spring cleaning our van.

I have had a problem for a while with the locks on the arms that hold the windows not gripping and the windows sliding shut.

Does anyone know if these are adjustable? They are black oval cylinders and twist to grip on the support tubes. These tend to either slip or gradually allow the window to close under its own weight. There are two tiny Philip's head screws on the end of each one are these for adjusting the tension.

Spain is the place to do a spring clean. Joan stripped all of the curtains and nets, washed them at 10 am this morning and they are totally dry now 12:30.

Took our nets off, hung them on the line, the rain lashed down and washed them, now the strong winds are blowing them dry!!

Saves having to wash them, so who needs the sun of Spain?................

Well I could manage a bit of it!!

I think John, that these things are usually indemic on the older hymers as mine does the same.I find i have to hold the window open whilst tightening the tubes.
I think i will investigate the grub screws though as i did not realise that their was any on the tubes.I also have heard that the shower heads are crap also, that is something i also need to sort out.
Do you have any problems with your window screens as i have taken one apart to tighten the springs,i have improved it although not perfect its a lot better than not working at all!!

I could be wrong but I am not sure if you need to remove the net contraption to adjust the springs for the screens. In my MH, on the side of the contraption is a slot for a screw driver, all you need to do is turn it until you are happy with the tension. A one minute job for each window net.

I have had a good lock at our S700 blind cassettes and there is nowhere that I can see to adjust them in situ.

The biggest problem we have is not tension on the blinds, but at times they do not lock into a closed position and rewind a bit. They can be persuaded but at times it can be very frustrating.

Hi John, The info: I am giving is strictly on my MH. My windows have a Roller blind and Nets combined in one. At one of the SIDE ends in the unit is a plastic slot for a screw driver, this is for the tension spring inside of the unit. Secondly, if the blind or net does not roll up properly (providing the tension is correct) then it is a (Cog bush) that has a tooth broken. In this case you have to take the complete unit down to replace the Cog bush. I say cog bush, as I don't don't know the correct name for it in English. It is a round piece of plastic with 4 teeth on one end of it. It has a hole in the middle for the blind or net rod. You will need 2 people to put it back together as the spring will unwind if you try to do it yourself. The job is easy but fiddly. Hope this helps.
