I have already asked this on another forum but no takers,, anyone on here know?
I am going to France in a week so I need to change my Hymer headlamps to flat top beams, not that I will be driving at night though if possible.
How is it done, a lever or something attached to the dip beam light but I cannot see how or what it actually is , anyone got a clue or shall I just put deflectors on it? It is the fish eye ball type lenses with an H11 bulb in it.
I crawled up under the wing !!!!! tight. but could not see the way of doing it, maybe it is a purpose made UK headlight unit without the flat top ability.

If this is the twin round headlight there is a screw to remove and twist the headlight and replace the screw.
I have instructions somewhere and a set of 2 headlights as well post a photo for me please

It is the latest type headlight with the daylight running/ main beam/ indicators and dip beam all in the same unit. The dealers do not know about it and the hymer manual say refer to the MB handbook The MB handbook is only for the sprinter cab models.
I have had a look and cannot see anything to do it but do not know how to put something on the fish-eye lens to act as a deflector. There must be a simple answer to this problem, the LHD models have a little lever to flatten the top of the beam, the RHD ones it seems not.

Different headlamp no bits in there at all, the motor takes up most of it.
Tape must be the answer.

For what it is worth, the dealer sounds to be pretty inexperienced about Hymers.
I have owned both RHD and LHD and on different base vehicles.
The lights were just the same, and both adjusted as I have mentioned.
On the A Class, Hymer use the same parts, it is usually on the van type cabs (C class and T class) that things alter
Have you the Hymer Handbook, not the Mercedes Book, if so I am pretty sure it is on ours!

Yes I have now found them, not what I was expecting but a little flickky bit of bent metal it didn't move far but it did something.
The Hymer manual makes no reference at all to the headlamps adjustment or anything just look in the MB handbook, it was a bit generic and referred more to the alko chassis than mine. Anyway it is done and they will probably stay right there from now on.
