Hymer electric step switch

The electric step on my Hymer has been slowly getting to the point where it works when it wants to when retracting the step, I always try to repair instead of replacing but I thought I would get a price the step switch first, £78 but at least it is free p&p:juggle:,


Doesn't look very much to warrant that price

When I stripped it down the rockers operate switches under the rubber boots




with the rubber boots removed it is clear they are just the regular tactile switches so I should be able to change them

less than £5 for ten, these tactile switches are used a lot (joysticks, game controllers and anything that needs you to press a button) and I have eight spare ones and saved over £70

Nice one,I find any part with the''H''word on it is priced at about 10 times what is should be,they're great vans but it's good to be resourceful if possible when buying spares.

Phoned regarding a new sink mixer tap /shower hose head ,was to be quick if I wanted one as Hymer in Germany only had one in stock,three week delivery and a bargain at £200 ???

You could always fit a Comet Roma mixer tap if it looks suitable.

I used a Comet tap when my Kitchen sink tap failed (in fact you got the spout off it). It was around one third of the price of a Reich, looked identical and is the same quality.

Less than £10

I fitted one to our Pilote when it started playing up. Not that expensive and certainly not worth trying to repair. Think the problem is that they rely on the switch instead of using a proper control box with decent terminals inside. Lot to expect considering amps passing through it.
