Have been in France since 22/4 and now heading back towards Calais for Tunnel Crossing on 9/6. Presently in Champagne Region and not raining at the moment. However, we have had a lot of rain in the last couple of days and last night at an aire not far from a river I was a bit concerned especially after watching the flooding on the news on BBC this morning. More rain forecast and contemplating catching an earlier crossing back. Have got sufficient fuel to get to the UK but more unrest is forecast and I think the unions will be taking advantage of greater publicity from disruption during the forthcoming Euro Championships.
Thanks, I'm going to head down to Spain so hopefully in a couple of days we should be out of the fuel and weather issues.
Have a safe drive back Bud.

Just read your post, we passed through there and have just stoped at an aire in St Jean De Mont on the coast near Nantes.
Passed loads of fuel stops, no restrictions and no queues at all.
Could have done with a nice cuppa as well
Weather overcast at the mo but still warm.
My daughter is back in wales sunning herself in the garden!

Came over yesterday to a really wet day. Near St. Omar still drizzle, moving on towards Bordeaux tomorrow. Met a couple just arrived from Italy said it rained all the way over 4 days...please God it clears up . We left Pembroke in hot sunshine....
We are going to start heading up the east side of France and into Germany, from Monday, so will let you have weather details etc when we go. As for now we're near Marseille - clear blue skies and hot.
Sorry I didn't see this post until this AM, I must have missed it. Thank you for your kind advice and no need to worry as I don't coincider the aire to be wild camping. I however coincider the island to be a lovely place to visit. We visited it last year and decided this year we would return and bring along our motorbike so we could see all of the island.
We intend to head on south and then into the mountains on the spainish boarder.
Regards

Are you going or have been to La Coupole Centre d'Histoire the WW2 bunker.
If you are intending to go take warm clothing into the museum it's really cold in there.
I hope you're having a good time over there and the weather is being kind to you.
Had 2 nights at this lovely site, free. No problems. Just west of Mazarron. Off up north tomorrow heading home via Santander. It's been in the mid 30s down here south of Murcia!
