How many people use and review the POI's?

Slightly frustrating week. We have just done our second leg of the NC500 anti clockwise along the north coast.

Frusratingly, many of the POI's have no reviews at all, so it's disappointing to get there and find a big "no overnight parking" sign. If only I had known. And others reporting a few years ago that it was okay, only to find it is no longer so but nobody has bothered to post a review saying so.

I have no idea how many are full members of this site and thus have access to the POI information but it would be damned handy if all those that do would please please post a review, even if to say sorry they have banned you from stopping there now.

We did find places but not as easy as we would have hoped and I have reviewed all the ones we visited including the bad ones.

Actually THIS thread is a really good point & Reminder to everyone to help each other in what let’s face it is a ‘User’ driven facility/service.


For the record, I don’t actually use the park up thread an awful lot, However I’ve been guilty of not reviewing the occasional park up when I have.

Sadly I have read posts on here stating they prefer keeping their places to themselves.
I always add sites, and do reports, I have added several in recent months.
Including elsan points which are springing up all over the place up here.

We always review or verify., sometimes just in passing. If I see a problem, I will add a review or report it.

It doesn't take much effort to keep this great resource of our up to date and useful. At the very least it is a thank you to those who give their time and effort to ensure the location app is there for us all.

I frequently indicate when I find a POI has changed, ie council car parks no overnight parking 22:00 - 08:00 etc. and also verify locations.

I verify them when I have internet when I'm at the location...if I leave it I forget where I've been....dodgy brain.

I always verify or report when I visit a POI, submit new ones when found, review when I overnight. Simply reporting changes is all well and good, but if POIs are not verified if still OK, other users will not know that they were still OK on a certain, perhaps recent, date.

This thread has been a useful reminder to use the POIs, verify them, update them and add new ones. I've been doing that in Brittany and Normandy these last three weeks

TBH I mainly use my membership fee to access the POIs. They are so useful! I'm not one for chit chat I'm afraid so don't add much to other threads.
The POIs are brilliant! But only as good as the input they receive from users.
I'm currently wending my way up the coast from the Forth Bridge. Near Fraserburgh at the mo. I've been adding reviews/ verifications all the way. I use a combination of the 2 other big apps and this one. I'll add a location to here if I find it on one of the others. Yesterday we stopped at a place I found on here that wasn't on the others. Quite a find! I didn't add that to the other sites.
So please. Keep your reviews coming. We need to keep the POIs relevant. If they are no longer useful then membership may drop.
Finally, can I say thanks to all of you who keep this site so useful.
