How many people sleep better in their van/motorhome than at home?

I am lucky, I can sleep on a bed of nails.
But yes I do sleep well in the van, but I tend to feel blocked up in the morning.
When doing my basic training we had to sleep outdoors in the rain, I even managed it once in snow in Norway during an exercise.
But on the rare occasion that I have bother I get up for around 20 minutes then go back to bed and it’s 🛏️💤

But I don’t sleep any better in the van, than I do at home, about the same.

oh yes,...always get a good night sleep in the van..
....think its all the fresh air.....peaceful...seem to be on another planet in the van.
despite having to move things around.....as its only a small camper

As said in a previous post if having trouble sleeping I would go into the van in the garden and definitely sleep better. We have a caravan in the garden for visitors to use and I often have a Kip in it as it feels like being on holiday in your own garden.

same here. re caravan....wish i hadnt parted with mine..
..miss it being on the drive. and having breakfast in it etc.
..gson slept in it when he came to stay despite there being room in the house
used to call it his home

Absolutely. But then again, I slept so well in the van, it’s difficult to tell.

We got our caravan for our sons to stay in when they visited but it’s been well used with friends and family and even our neighbours use it. Cheap way of creating extra accommodation if you have the space. Ours will never be towed again and is looking nice just now as the Clematis is growing over it.

Unfortunately my caravan is inside my garage and is used for dry storage of things we don’t want to get damp in the winter the hazards if a concrete sectional garage.

Slightly off topic but one corollary to sleeping well in the van is having to wake up early(ish), whatever the weather, to take the dog out for her morning comfort break. Don't misunderstand, I love my dog to bits and wouldn't be without her but, sometimes, a lie-in would be welcome - especially in winter!

Another corollary is that my oh only sleeps well if the bed is oriented either directly east/west or north/south, not at points in between...
Any other bad sleepers tried this?

Do you pray to a god in the east by any chance.

Ours was christened The Coronavan as we got it at the start of the lockdown. Cost under 2k which is cheap compared to building something that sleeps 4 with power and a lavvy.
It’s well loved by family and friends.
