How many night a year do you sleep in your van?

How many night a year do you sleep in your van?

Just wondering how many nights on average you spend overnighting in your motor caravan. So I thought I would start a poll :)
 
In my first nine months of ownership, I have spent 23 weeks in the MH
 
we've never managed it yet, but we try to aim at every other weekend,

camping/diesel tokens keep running out

365 and 366 in leap years.

Actually I am just trying to remember in the last year if I have slept anywhere else, and I am struggling to think of anywhere at the moment.

I don't use Hotels, or if I visit friends I will sleep in the van, so there isn't any need to sleep anywhere else that I can think of. I think I may have spent a night in my house when the van went in for its MOT!

For the past 12/14 years its averaged out at around 110.

Six weeks each spring & autumn on the Continent,
weekends in the summer touring the U.K.

357 as our van was in a garage for repair the other nights.
 
66 in 2010, so far 33 in 2011 but still got my main fortnight to come so probably more this year.
 
For various reasons, we did not use the van much over the winter but have made up for it lately with a total of about 4 weeks away.

We are off up the west coast of Scotland tomorrow. I would like the trip to be open ended but I have a Hospital appointment on June 30th. I am hoping that the NHS staff will come out on strike with everyone else that day so that I can stay away a bit longer. :drive:
 
For the past nine years, apart from spending every other winter flying off in search of distant sun (backpacking and using hostels) we have spent virtually all of our time in the Motorhome - even when visiting friends and family. In the year to now it comes to over 360 days (we have to get the thing serviced and MOT'd !). In the summer we tend to be in the UK; in the winters when we aren't backpacking we tend to end up in the van in southern Spain (or Morocco or Sicily or Greece). When we started, our friends told us we'd kill each other in what they regarded as such a confined space but so far we have both emerged unscathed - and our "home" extends far beyond the boundaries of the van (except in long spells of bad weather, which we try to escape). In what other life could you have a different garden all the time and yet never have to tend it?
 
As often as we can that's for sure....but it's restricted to work, money etc - however we have had 16 weekends away in 2011 so far...and about to spend 16 nights on our first road trip to France, Spain & Portugal in a few weeks.........also spent 2 weeks in our van last October in Scotland for our honeymoon...people thought we were mad but we loved every second of it!
 
I'm very impressed with the folks and how many nights in their vans, my van has remained in the garage for over a year, well she was out to be MOT'd ... life can be unkind ... we hope to make up for it later this summer and next year.

Nights in the van

84! We take it to the Alps, Dolomites and Pyrenees in the winter, ever since I quit my job as a chalet maid!
