Nothing to do with effectiveness but more to do with disposable.
One can harm the process in a septic tank.

That might just be you mate.I use 1X big glug (that's a scientific measurement) of bio wash liquid. Doesn't seem to do a lot mind, the stuff still stinks.
Oooo ! Contentious or whatI use the proper green stuff! Tried washing tablets but in heat? Absolutely rubbish. Had to keep dosing and t ended up costing more! But when something is posted by a popular forum member, it is like influencers, it gets taken up by those looking for a "god" to follow.
And then, they can't admit their mistake and keep peddling the myth. Carry on guys...
Aldi Bio Laundry detergent for us; this sorts out the cassette and leaves us with a washing detergent for small laundry items, though using a separate container for the latter ...I use aldi dishwasher tablets couple of quid for 40.![]()
