How long between using campsites.

Yes, Andrew, we have 40 watts of solar,it pays it's way, popping in an amp or so, even in this semi cloud.
We're all LCD, no telly. Inverter charging the radio battery and topping up the van batteries too.
If the sun shines enough, we won't need a hookup.
We'll be ok for a week off grid. by the time we have driven to exotic,remote Leeds.

With your EOS and the low demands you probably only need to move every four or five days even without the solar, the recharge when running is very quick.

Probably no more than about 2 weeks. Then again we dont see staying away from campsites as a challenge and certainly not a life style. Some of our best adventures with people we didn’t even know started off to in a campsite.

After nearly 7 years, the engine battery is just starting to show signs of weakening.
As the batteries are combined and the leisure is looking good, I'm loth to change it.
Hence the tiddly free standing solar panels.

Are you still on your original batteries, Bill ?
If not what price replacements?

Engine seems fine but I did replace the leisure 3 years ago. The replacement quit after 1 year 10 months and was changed under warranty (2 year warranty). I have used the original both times, nearly £200 but I think it's best to use AGM as thats what the charging system is set for and it's the only one that fits (with some difficulty) in the space for it. Now that I have solar it's treated more kindly than the previous ones were.
