How do you fill up fresh water tank at petrol station?

I know just what you mean,there’s one at Stafford services I’ve used I just put a little clamp on it ,fetched a coffee and it took about 5 to 10 minutes but who’s in that much hurry anyway?

Yes and buy fuel.
We once stopped in Norway to buy fuel and get water.
We asked about the water Nooooo !
So we did not buy fuel.
We have used garages quite often mostly in uk
Once one was closed down but water still on.
I would have thought that poo and grey water would be bigger problems ?

Camper we just sold had 25l fresh and grey removable tanks, we also bought 5l bottles of water from supermarkets which refilled wherever possible.
We only used water for cooking and drinking. Van baths were by xlarge 99% water body wipes.
Every 4-5 days we would use a campsite or council toilets that had showers for £1 for 4 minutes.
This was in NZ.

Truck stops are also good, food, drink, fuel (often cheaper) water and showers for a small fee.

For water anywhere, few people are bothered at all, polite to ask of course but Petrol station staff are often on minimum wage zero hours contracts.

Bottled water for us , sometimes sparkling as I get the wrong one ! Lol

But people just love the wife, because when she pipes up. Once told a local that we lived in a flat on the 12 th floor of tower block. Proper forgiveness.
