Just wondering what tricks people use to help stave off the cold during this cold snap I rely on my blown air central heating and a good fixed in place gas fire. Plus a throw over when I am sat still to prevent any drafts, The bed seems to be fine a good duvet and keeping the mattress and the bedding off the side wall stops condensation with the body heat transfer causing damp. I keep the bedding and mattress away from the wall by placing empty plastic water bottles against the wall and pushing the mattress against them. I do not tuck the bedding between the bottles and mattress but lay it over the top so not to trap the heat in under the duvet. I have also lined some of the cupboards mostly where i store my clothing with the silver lined foam underlay that you use when laying a wooden floor
carpet on the floor helps. I also find hanging a full-length curtain across the back of my van stops the drafts coming from the air vents behind my fridge and from the side door and shower area.
