I have just joined this site
My nephew is getting married at Christ Hospital Horsham and I am taking my campervan down with my wife and dog. Are there any free campervan sites nearby.

Hello Dr,

I know Christ Hospital very well as my son went there for his schooling. A wonderful boarding school and beautiful classic surroundings. I hope you have or had a good time. Where to stay, there is a very good camp site near Gatwick but I don't think there is one closer. They have extensive grounds, maybe you can ask to park on site for the evening?

Hello and welcome

There is a small CL site on the other side of Horsham that charges £10 per night.
I put details of it on a thread the other day 'Riverside Farm' ....
Other wise like someone else has mentioned there is 'Amberly Fields near Gatwick.

You could try and phone round some local pubs and see if you could park up for the night ..I am not sure on wildcamping places as I haven't been that's brave yet :scared::lol-053:
 
About 11 miles North is Holmwood Common which had/has a few good spots. Also similar distance is Leith Hill with plenty of spots.

Hi all.....what a brilliant site/forum....many thanks for all your helpful tips and info!! Purchased a duetto a few weeks ago but have only been out twice once to the new forest and then good old leysdown by the wall.....brilliant! I would love to hear from single people as although I have a partner he works and I don't so Dennis (duetto) is sat on the drive more than I would like him to be. Would be great to go off with my dog and other likeminded people maybe there are some members in the same situation would like to make new friends and experience some new adventures?? I am female by the way and am I the Runnymede area:wave:
