One thing I noticed in the aftermath was the number of young volunteers offering help to clean up, over here,and more so the USA we’d have just got looters .

They've had looters in the Spanish aftermath as well.

Hardly surprising, a lot of people without food and water. As soon as as 1 starts taking more than their fair share others feel they have to follow suit or miss out. Rather like the COVID supermarket shelf stripping we saw.
In general the sense of community and compassion has been a credit to them though and the government help has been pretty appalling up to now.

Viewing this morning news, divers preparing to enter a flooded underground car park. I assume they too, are volunteers? As their kit was basic SCUBA, no way would I venture into and under that contaminated cocktail with a basic second stage stuck in my gob (not to mention the numerous snags), full face Interspiro mask required.

Kudos to the divers if they did go into and under the murk, I'm thinking 9/11 here, where folks mucked in after the event, and are now still suffering the after effects of showing and doing their public duty, to help in any way possible.
