We spent the weekend away at CR Hollingworth Lake, and have taken some pictures and picked up some useful info.
We arrived on the Friday evening, about dark o'clock, the car park was empty so we chose our spot at the far end and parked as neatly as one can in the dark. After boiling the kettle, I had a quick look round the dark car park to see what parking charges there were.

The car park is full of potholes, but that seemed to keep away the boy racers, who maybe did not want to bend their pride and joy.

There is a cafe and toilets in the car park which does not open til about 10.30 in the morning.

And the lake is 2mins from the parking area. An easy walk round...we were lucky with the weather.

Due to the 10 hour max stay at Hollingworth, we moved on to Brunclough Resevoir on the Saturday afternoon.

We woke up on Sunday morning to the wind howling, fog and rain, so we head off home after breakfast, cancelling our intended Sunday walk.
