Hire of Berlingo campervan or the like ,Jump kit

I am thinking of getting such a van but would like to try one before buying. Any one know where I could hire one to try. I live in Lincolnshire and prepared to travel a reasonable distance to pick one up.
Retired, I only want a two berth for hiking use. Going to be just for me as the wife not keen on such jaunts. In the longer term would I be better getting a Doblo or Berlingo car and getting one of those Jump kits for flexibility. I tent and do long distance walks in the summer and autumn. I completed a sectional Cape Wrath to Lands End this summer.I need such a van so I get out and about in the winter and have somewhere better than a tent for the longer evenings.

Hi
not sure where you can hire one, but Amdro put me in touch with someone local to me to have a proper look. They are also doing a single version too now

There was one in a local B & Q car park a few weeks ago but I did not see the owner (to have a chat). From what I saw through the windows, I would go for something slightly larger. It looked a bit claustrophobic for one, never mind two. Just my opinion of course.

If you can't find one to hire you could always find one for sale that you would consider buying and see if the owner is willing to hire it to you for a couple of days. If you liked it and did want to go ahead with the purchase the hire cost could be deducted from the sale price. You would obviously have to have suitable insurance cover. This shouldn't be a problem as there are daily vehicle insurance companies. Worth a try as it can be a tough time of year to sell campervans.
