Hi there, Nigel and Elaine here, Recently got back into motorhoming after 10 yrs Living in Portugal

We bought a 2015 RollerTeam Zefiro 696 and have spent the last few months working out how to work all the addons that the previous owner installed on the van including hydraulic legs, aircon, router and a satelite dish that I cant see myself ever using now the internet has taken over. We had our first panic this weekend when we took her out of storage and drove up north to visit family, filled up the freshwater tank and turned on the pump only to see the water pouring out under the back of the motorhome. couldnt figure out what it was until after searching I found a small unit close to the boiler that had a blue lever on the top and a pipe going through the floor. turning the lever didnt stop the water flowing but after research I discovered it was the Truma frost protection dump valve and that round the back out of sight was the reset button. Pressing this button closed the valve and panic over the system worked perfectly again. I am sure all you experienced motorhomers would have realised my problem as soon as I mentioned it. I actually enjoy little problems like this because every time I learn something new about my van.

Thanks Guys, forgot to mention we are living on East Sussex coast (between Bexhill and Eastbourne) Not yet confident enough to go Wild Camping unless you count a couple of nights at Oxford services to break up journeys (£15 a night for a parking place, daylight robbery) Been enjoying a few really good sites though. My favorite site so far is "Tuckers Grave" south of Bath.

Welcome from Fife. We leave the Truma Heating on overnight at 13 Celsius to prevent the temperature from falling to the point where it trips the Frost Stat (around 3-4 Celsius). If it does trip, the temperature in the Van needs to get beyond 7 Celsius to reset

Hi and welcome from France. I can't set my Trumatic heating very accurately but have found that leaving just the water heater on is sufficient to keep the dump valve happy.
