Heosafe 1958 hab door lock

View attachment 38694My heosafe lock turned up yesterday so with some spare time I got round to fitting it today so first I had to mark the inside 4 X 6mm holes for the screws and 1x 20mm for the lock barrel. Then onto the outside where I had a 8mm hole from the arbor of the 20mm hole cutter I then drilled from the outside of the door with the said 20mm hole cutter. I then used the outer lock gasket as a template to mark my 4 X 10mm hole for the lock. I then inserted the outside lock into the holes and went to attach the inside lock plate which uses 4 X m5 countersunk screws but the ones supplied are 40mm long but need to be 60mm so I will have to visit the local engineering supplies for some longer ones I tried toolstation and screwfix but there's are only 50mm long I have already fitted mortice locks on the cab doors from vans4locks.
