connecting a reciever to a camos dish system
Hi all you satellite peeps. can you offer some advice please

I have just purchased a van with a Camos satellite dome and camos control box .
There was no reciever but I have aquired a 12 v digital reciever ex lidll -a silvercrest .

can anyone advise which connections to use from the Camos control box reciever socket to the reciever-for the silvercrest I have a choice of "IF out", LNB in (which i assume is only to be used directly to a fixed satellite dish as this has a 13-18 voltage) or the "coaxial" connection.

I did try out the satellite finder and had similar symptoms as reported by the posts re the system keeping keeping searching for a satellite, but assumed as I didn't have a reciever that was the reason-i wasn't aware of any changeovers in march -but will cross that bridge then.

Any help with the connections would be appreciated and/or any tips

cheers
Jimbo

On my Camos I have connected a short cable between the screw on out connector on the Camos to the screw on in connector on my Amiko mini receiver. As far as I am aware all the Camps box does is locate the satellites, once locked on I turn the switch on the Camos box off, the LNB gets it power from the receiver, then you see the one light on the Camos control box.
So Camos LNB out connected to receiver LNB in.
