Help !! wiring lights !

Just wondering if anyone can help !
I have bought some 12v lights to put in my van conversion but when they came they looked like this ...

How do I wire it up to run from a battery ?

Hi Catherine

The red wire will go to + and white to the - on the battery. Use a 5amp fuse (and switch if reqd) between the battery + and the red wire.

Thanks . . do I put crocodile clips on those wires ? and can I wire more than one light on the same clips or will they need seperate ones ? or would it be better to go through a cig lighter socket ?

For single connections i use spade crimps like you have on the fittings, for multiple connections i use terminal strip, often called choc blocks (shape).

yes you can wire several off of 1 fuse, just make sure they are connected in parallel so that all the reds are together and all the whites together in anothe block

Remember you don't need to go all the way back to the battery with the white wire... just to the nearest bit of steel bodywork, seat base, floor pan etc.
