Just backing my van off drive to go away then I heard a load clunk drove it back on drive still making the clunking noise I am not mechanical minded any idea what it could be or is there any mechanics out there in hull that can have a look and maybe fix it willing to pay

If it was just one loud clang it could be stuck bake letting go of the drum or disc but if its stiil there check the drive shafts /propshaft. Is there anything hanging lose underneath ?.

Take the wheel clamp off.

Seriously though, was there any thing amiss last time you used it, as said, brakes sound most likely.

Where did the clunk come from?Does the engine sound ok? Loose exhaust ?

No nothing hanging down underneath starts ok but makes a clonking sound if I try to drive it

No

No I drove it an hour earlier it was ok but the steering seemed a bit stiff but oil power steering brake fluid is all ok

I wasn't actually joking! Stranger things have happened.

A good friend of mine took his brand new Granada Ghia back to the garage complaining of a serious vibration in the dash. They gave him back the car later that day together with his - now flat- electric shaver found in the glovebox......

Sorry just stressed out wife just out of hospital after cancer opp sorry again

No problem. I thought I had a problem with my work van, it developed a high pitched whine. Turned out my battery powered drill was activating under the passenger seat!

Brian I strongly suggest you listen to these guys. I have learned a lot from them!

Have you checked all the rubber mounts on your exhaust pipe?
