how old is it?

Hi Jules its around 6 years old i recon? maybe more,,,

ah ok. seen people get them off ebay, nice little screens, i would think better and much cheaper than a repair to direct replacement. i was looking at them some time ago, its something i want to fit in a month or 2

Hi yeah ive seen the newer ones might have to change the lot i recon,, shame really as i only need the screen,,,,,

surely any 12v monitor will do unless it has to fit somewhere specific,i made mine up from an old 7inch lcd telly someone gave me and a cheap maplins camera

The camera packed up on my system earlier in the year and I finished up having to change the whole system.

I still have the 5" screen . What sort of plug connection does yours have and I will check it out

Rob

The new replacement screen is an RV511S, which will use the same camera connector as the RV27 Camera fitted to your system. The system you have was commonly known as the RV400 system, which uses the RV54 Monitor with an RV27 Camera.

You can try the links below, as this company deal in Dometic/Waeco Spares, but be warned the cost isn't cheap!! However they may carry X-Grade monitors that have been repaired or have a slight scratch on the plastic of the monitor case.

Good luck, here's the link;

Very nice indeed:D

Thanks Mothman, :) a bit fiddly to fit with the steering wheel being so close and I had to move a few switches but well worth it. After looking at a few options it seems a screen would set me back about £70 so for another £100 I get a reversing camera, a dvd player, a hands free phone set-up, a TV set, an MP3 player and radio all in one. I'm also gonna attach my freesat to it and possible my xbox (yaeh I know i'm a big kid lol)

I dont blame you mate thats what i would do,, i love my gadgets, nice set up indeed Sir!!

Hi Mothman

Have just looked at my monitor....it is a 5.6" TFT lcd display monitor. Model no:WR056AU

There is a lead coming out of it with like a 7 pin female plug on the end similar to the 2 plugs on the back of yours
monitor.

Rob

Do you think it would work? does it have that extra lead thing Rob???
