Help Please - Peugot J5 base with Pilote Body

We have a 1992 Pilote with a few minor issues I was looking for advice on. Firstly the step keeps dropping down when driving, I have a temporary fix but wanted to know where I can buy new brackets for the step to click into to hold it up. It is just a round ended clip that the step clicks in between of then is secure. One is missing and the other isn't working. Any pointers would be good.

Also the rubber seal on the front of the cab on the window where the bed is has come away from the corner slightly. The man who I brought this from said I could just take it off and push back into place. Is this fairly easy to do or am I going to be making things worse by taking the window fittings out myself. I am confident in doing it but wanted to make sure I wasn't entering a whole world of trouble first.

Thanks:confused:

Sorry don't know anything about your type of step. Is the seal a 'true' water seal or is it just a 'finishing' strip to fill/cover a gap?

the seal round the window ,is it a thin strip of beading in the middle of the window rubber, or the window rubber seal its self that is loose . if it is just the center bead yes you can push it back into the grove . but if its the rubber seal that is lose then if there are no leaks then leave well alone untill the summer then repair or replace the rubber seal .

Yes it is the black rubber seal which is on the inside of the window frame itself. It is coming away in the one corner and there was a slight bit of wetness the other day after it had snow on the window for a couple of days. What do you suggest?

myself ,i would try to run some sealer round the outside of the rubber to try to seal the outside ,if you can use a hair drier to dry any dampness from round the area to be sealed then do so . if you can seal the outside temporaly untill better weather gets here then it is better than taking the whole window out and risking more damage .
