Help needed with Carver gas/electric air heater

Hi, over the Easter W/E, used this heater on gas for several days with no problem.
Then it failed to light. Checked the gas supply--plenty,checked the igniter spark--
fat and crackling, so assumed it was a blocked pilot jet.
Removed the front cover but could not see any means of finding the jet.
I am capable of doing most minor repairs but unless the whole heater has to be
removed then I cannot see a way forward. Any advice is welcome.
The heater is a Carver, Model 3600TC, probably fitted 1997.

unless you travel on your own, friction with the wife works for me to keep warm.:lol-053::lol-053::lol-053::lol-053::lol-053::lol-053::lol-053::lol-053::lol-053::lol-053::lol-053:

Hi carvers are room sealed units access to the burner unit is from underneath the van. ( same is true of Trumas)

Easiest way of servicing is to release the retaining clips under the van and then remove the fire from the interior. Bit more work but contortions aren't required this way and you can give the radiants a good dust off too !!!.. The only thing to remember is the seal from the unit to the flue WILL require replacing, They are a one use only, When you fit a new one and first light the fire part of it melts to form a seal.

hope this helps

Channa

P>S I should add perfectly possible to remove the unit from under the van, however removal is far less stressfull and possibly quicker
