Ok I'm think of spring next year yes I know it's just got into winter but I can't help it I hate winter so the problem Is that I want to travel everywhere in the uk but I have no idea how to decide where to go they is so many places so I need a fun way to decide where to go cos I was talking to a friend he use to go traveling on his weekends like I want to and what he did cos he didn't have a motorhome he looked where the cheapest travel lodge was and went there so I want something fun like that but I have a motorhome

Thanks for any ideas

PS might give winter camping a go cos really want to go out again

Have a bucket list. For example; visit all or as many football grounds as you can; racecourses; seaside piers; all the landmarks on the inshore weather forecast in the shipping bulletin; all the "Acacia Avenues" in as many towns and villages as possible.........the list is endless. You don't have to be nerdy about it, just gives you somewhere to aim for.

scotland ..........head for inverness and have a few stops on the way up .......then again you might not make it that far as you might find somewhere real nice on the way there..... thats what weve been doing ...your not booked in anywhere give it a go..... we were going home one sunday and i thought sod work tomorrow we ll go to southport on the way north to home ....and ended up in chester ...... keepin it random :giggle:
much love

It's hard for anyone else to tell you how to choose without knowing your interests, priorities, time available etc., but why not try what others have suggested?

Make a list of your interests and divide them into categories such as mountains and lakes, seaside, market towns, museums, country houses, theme parks, or whatever you fancy. You could include things such as locations for your favourite TV shows or films, historical people or places, sports, wildlife watching etc., etc. As Rubbertramp says, the list really is endless.

You could wait until the time comes before deciding which ones to head for, allowing for weather, season, distance and time available etc. If you want to make it more random, you could pick the pre-selected locations out of a hat (or toss a coin, roll dice or whatever).

Another way would be to choose a particular county or region to explore on each trip. Then you could spend time before the trip gathering info on that area and make a list of places to visit whilst you're there? :)

I have had some good travelling (even before buying the van) by turning right and left - ie you just decide as you go. Also I collect pencils so aim for cathedrals, national trust places, museums and ask in each town/city tourist info place if they have a pencil thereby trying somewhere different each journey

I could suggest a lot of places but looking at your forum name, I think you would have trouble working out what I am saying.

That's the strangest spelling of Albert I have ever seen. Am I right in thinking you have a touch of Dyslexia?

BTW, I am in the **** over a Radar key so I might as well upset the bloody dyslexics as well.
