Help (bird £$%^)

Just picked up van from the garage (6 month) looks like birds have had a field day on the and it's all hardened on
Tried snow foam, also high pressure hose. But not moving :-(
Any tips ?

Soak something in water and leave a good few hours to soften. Could be a tissue or an old towel depending on area, it will eventually soften.

Yea, I'd go with keep it wet for a while then wipe off.

When I got my first Mini, at 17, A bird crapped on the windscreen, first time out..
I dumped her straight away, she had to walk home.

Yes, it's acidic so a good idea to neutralise it - it may be too late to avoid paintwork damage though if it's been there a while

The advice to get it moist and wet is good advice. It should then just lift off with gentle use of a soft rag or perhaps a microfibre towel or even a hosepipe directed at it.

As to what damage it may have done to the underneath, you will find out when the crap has gone. As said it can be nasty stuff if left too long and can cause permanent damage that would need some remedial work.

Did the wet towel, got a lot off but still some ingrained:-( going to try another soak see if it moves the rest o it, thanks guys for the help ;-)

That's a promising start.

Good idea: keep it moist and keep using a clean part of the towel so you don't grind it in.

Try purchasing some fallout remover from a specialist car cleaning supplier. Might be call iron and fallout remover, buts it’s very useful for getting embedded debris out of bodywork.
