Help and or advice needed please for Dometic Fridge

is ONLY for the fridge..
To get at it and take the photo I removed the lower vent on the outside of the van.
Removing the vent gives access to the burner and thermocouple and valve.
Yes the thermocouple is needed to operate the valve but if either is not working no gas (to the fridge)

Thanks again Jagmanx, well Blair is outside now giving everyone's suggestions a try so I'll update when he is finished. We do appreciate everyone's help with this, that's why we joined this forum because you are all really lovely people.

Hi Skar, thanks for your reply. This is weird actually because we were doing our laundry, then got some groceries and diesel and then sat down and said, OK where shall we go, we need electric. We picked out......yes, you guessed it Seyla Motorhomes and here we are! Now I come to read your post, so perhaps fate sent us here. We will see them in the morning when they open, but if I had not seen your post we would have just carried on to the next electric hook-up. We are hesitant to pay more money out and end up without it being fixed again, so maybe we will be luckier here. I'll post back after we have spoken with them and let you know how it goes. :)

We had to wait for parts and then wanted to hang around locally in case it wasn't properly fixed so we stayed at Camping Park Pizarra , He will do a deal for 14 nights at 10 euros a night plus electricity BUT you don't have to use the 14 nights consecutively. It's a nice spot and very quiet.

Gently..It might just have got stuck

Blair has tried that jagmanx, but unfortunately it did not work. When we went into Seyla Motorhomes they said that they no longer had any service repair people and they did not do repairs any more. So we found a Dometic Service place in Antequera and drove there. They said they couldn't possibly look at it until next week as they are too busy. We asked if they had the parts we may need and they had a new controller at €102 and a new Valve at €106. He said that if it wasn't any if these we could not return either of them so we bought the controller and Blair has just fitted it, but that didn't appear to be the problem so we went back and bought the valve and Blair fitted that and hey presto, €263 later we now have a fully working fridge. It's a good job I have a very skilled husband. We just drove from Antequera down to Rincon de la Victoria, parked up and the fridge lit straight away. If nothing else, the fridge has had a good service and new parts and now we can get on with enjoying the rest of our vacation.

Thank you Skar, as you can see from the above reply I made to Jagmanx, it's now working. We are so grateful for everyone's help, thank you one and all. I love this forum.

Great news! Enjoy the rest of your trip.

You didn't hit the old valve hard enough!
Glad all is working now.

Glad it's sorted.

Well done for persisting. You now know all you need to know about your fridge!

Glad it is all sorted

Nothing is cheap but getting the fridge working again on gas is essential (IMO)
