Helmsdale wild camping

Hi, Can anyone confirm if it is still possible to wild camp on the Harbour in Helmsdale,
I have heard that thee is now a ban in place for motorhomes,

We parked there last week in the day, didn't see any signs

I'm sorry, but every time I see this title I see a picture of Gandalf in my head.

"Look for me in the East at dawn on the third day" and then he comes galloping over the hill out of the rising sun with hordes of helpers to rescue them from the Orcs at Helmsdeep.

Might be a bit of a dodgy campsite if they hold another battle there.

The last time i spoke to a friend of mine, who is a crofter in Helmsdale, said they were desperate for any tourism, since the new lidl or aldi had just opened, but that was about a year ago so really i dont know, i suppose i should just shut mi gob :scared:
