Hi folks another newby here, just thought I'd introduce my self out of courtesy. I have been reading a lot of you letters obout wildcamping in God'sCountry [Scotia] I have recently returned from there after 51/2 month, went to the Orkneys fer 2 week stayed 31/2 month then travelled back thro East,& Central Highlands back to the East Coast down to the Borders before crossing the wall agin. 4,680 miles in total.People ask WHY, you could have gone abroad to the sunshine, simple answer I met enough Drivers? from the continent I do not wish to commit suicide just yet, besides what have they got that I canny find in Scotland. This is my 3rd sojourn there & tho my poor old van is poorly sick [MOTitis RUSTICUS CORROSIONUS] I will spend ALL my cash to get it back on the road & back over the border.Roll on next season. And Lang May yer Lum Reek. Steuart.
hi steuart, glad to hear of your love of scotland but what intriges me is the spelling of your name . put me out of my misery and explains its origons ,if i'm not being too nosy.
Hi Irene, it is from the original "Old Alliance" France & Scotland, it also ensures SOMEONE will want to write to me,lol.& no do'nt consider you nosy.
Steuart.
still not sure i follow the name thing steuart but i'll do a
little history research and maybe shed some of my ignorance.
scottish newyear is hopefully on your wild camping agenda. i seem to remember someone saying something about Biggar being a good place to be . camper van friendly and a town bonfire . sounds like my kind of place.
