Hello from a biker in Morecambe

Hi All, I'm presently gathering stuff to fit out my LWB Movano to use a camper and to transport my motorcycle. The idea is to travel to far off places and use the van as a base to sleep in while exploring the area on my 1000cc Kawaski bike. I'll get some photos up soon, but it's early days yet and much to do to the van.

Hello and welcome from a fellow biker, sounds like a great idea and I can't wait to see the pictures. I'd love to do my own conversion but have shied away from it so far, maybe your's will inspire me. Have fun and ride safe.

Regards,
Del

Another biker here.. (K1300S, K1200S, Bandit 600). Welcome :)
I am interested to find out how you will be transporting your Kawasaki. A big heavy bike to carry, inside and it impedes the living area in your van, and outside would have to be some sort of trailer or wheeled contraption.
I bought my van with a view to carry a small motorbike to allow the bike to be lifted into the garage (not any of my current bikes), the van has a garage at the back and designed to take the weight of a medium sized bike, but we like the cycling at the moment.

It seems Motorhomes and Bikes go together.

Welcome aboard

Okay, thanks for the welcome. Well here's a coupla pics of the basic idea...

The bike will be secured in the van on the offside rear and a single bed lengthways on the nearside. This will fold up to the wall. Fridge, hob, and sink, will be a "pod" at the front along with a toilet/shower "box". Cupboards up high on both sides for storage.

I still have some planning of the layout to do but I have an Eberspacher Hydronic and a Carver blown heater, so those options are available to me. I have two 110Ah leisure batts., and a 1500w inverter plus two solar panels at 75watts each.

Here's the van and the engine that was installed just before I bought it. Good engine, but shame about the turbo and other parts that have needed replacement!
