Hiya Gridok, Hayfield is a small village near Glossop (Derbyshire) and they have an excellent little campsite that we have used on occasions as a meet venue. The site is a C and CC site and the wardens are the nicest you will meet.

Do you have to be a member of the CCC ? I know with the CC some sites only accept members.

Channa I am sure Tresricky did not mean to upset you.

This site is a lovely site and that is probably why people keep going back also something to do with the countryside around also the wardens are the best you could possible find.
The site they say is basic eg no elecrtic but the showers and loos are top notch. Also the site is only open to tents and motorhomes no caravans due to access road.
If your not in the C & CC it will cost you a little more but none members are welcome to use it. Best at times to phone beforhand to make sure it is not fully booked.

Thanks for the post Polly but Tresricky's post was directed at Gridok not myself.

Indeed this would be termed a rallye Craig.

I am not sure about the CCC but in the CC there are district associations. In your neck of the woods West Midlands DA or Warwickshire DA I would imagine. They often have meets through the year often at CL's where there is perhaps a spare field they can hire for the weekend.

Often the rallyes are close to something which is going off on the vicinity. For example Notts DA have a Goose fair meet first weekend in October.

Not my cup of tea tbh, but my parents pencil it in their diaries each year. An opportunit for them to go home see relatives and catch up with folk from the previous years.
