Has Anyone ordered a new van.

Further update more good news.
The dealer has stated that the additional age of my van, and resulting higher mileage won’t make any difference to his valuation, which he had given me. The only issue is the market, and he seems certain that prices won’t fall this year. I am uncertain as to wether to trade in or sell privately. I am willing to take a small hit to trade in, but not too much. It’s a hard one to decide on. But I have lots of time to decide now. :(

I'm not surprised if your van is any good it could have increased by a few £k by the time you exchange.

Have you looked at the current selling prices of your exact model?

My van is a Roller team Pegaso 590 19 plate 150 BHP upgrade with auto box.
the auto box being the older comfort matic. The new version is currently selling for £83500 with an auto box and 140BHP.
Vans like mine are selling for around £70,000 from dealerships.
When I bought the van new they were only £63,000.
crazy world.

OK OK, a 5th Wheel then?
Nowt wrong with a caravan Terry. I think a lot on here like myself started tugging then the kids stopped coming with us and we got a van. I’m vanless at present but have a caravan🤦🏻‍♂️ but fear not it’s a permanent fixture in the garden and will never see the road again.

Certainly nowt wrong with a caravan, Cale. My parents had one which I borrowed often. Pro's and con's with both styles of gaining freedom to roam.
