With just two weeks to go, somebody has to start it.





May I wish you all a happy Christmas and a peaceful New Year.

Please remember its important at this time of the year and in these conditions to keep an eye on your elderly neighbours.

If you cannot keep an eye on them, buy a burgler alarm.

Give the hired help time orf over yuletime, I have never heard the like.

What next, poor houses, food banks, Salvation Army food runs to the homeless.

This sort of suggestion is the thin end of the wedge young man, Bah Humbug I say.

Typical Tory rhetoric designed to upset upstanding, genuinely nice people like Freddie and me.

You should be ashamed of yourself young man. That huge amount of wealth you have cannot buy happiness you know.

On a more serious note.

In the charity shop where we do our thursday afternoon stint there is a poster in the window of the actress Audrey Hepburn with one of her quotes.

"As you grow older, you will discover that you have two hands, one for helping yourself, the other for helping others".

Its not a bad quote for this time of the year.

Hi, keeping the theme going, we’ve had a very Christmassy week so far.

Monday we had the first of two Christmas dinners to be eaten before the 25th, not arranged by me, I point out !!!

Wednesday morning, pputting up decorations and tree with the *$*&* $* lights,

Afternoon a visit to st aldhelms church to view the 65 Christmas trees, all lit up and decorated by local schools. Shining Branches - Christmas tree Festival - St. Aldhelm's Church & Centre

Thursday afternoon in the charity shop and young mother comes in with three children, all poorly dressed.
She is looking for presents and cheap decorations to put up; we sort some out for her and the manageress gave them to her.

Thursday night carol service.

So apart from the rugby scrum in Tesco’s around 8.00 next Tuesday morning, when very little Christmas spirit will be on show and things could get very nasty, it’s all sorted.

How have you lot got on ?
