Thanks everyone for the good wishes, I've just got home after a couple of days away in the Big White Van, had a fab time. :fun:
Myself and some friends met up at Anderton Boat Lift at Northwich to see the Levellers playing at the Lift Off Festival on Wed evening, it was a great night, not too busy, and only gentle rain during the gig (which was outside) which was quite refreshing during an hour and a half jumping up and down (I could hardly bend my knees yesterday morning

). Surprisingly, despite drinking a cocktail of cider, Cactus Jacks, amaretto (neat), & G&T, my head was fine the following morning, I just felt like a cripple for a few hours till my knees freed up again.
I was very spoiled, some lovely pressies and cards, and
2 chocolate birthday cakes
During the day yesterday, it was warm and sunny with blue skies, and the rain held off most of the day until a thunder storm last night and we had a very lazy day sitting around, eating, drinking, playing fiddle, juggling and comparing photos from the gig. We stayed in the Country Park Car Park for 2 nights, the security / stewards came around to tell us that they were locking the car park barriers at about midnight both nights (it's normally locked at 8pm), but were quite happy for us to stay overnight. Not sure if this would apply the rest of the time or only whilst the festival is on. I would have liked to stay on for tonight as Seth Lakeman is playing, but had to get home today, but one of my pressies was a Seth Lakeman CD so I'll be listening to that in a hot bubbly bath later.
And Scampa, how very dare you add years to my age - I'm 21!!! (and have been for the past 20 odd years

).
Thanks again friends xx
