Halfords worse than Dick Turpin

Actually due to their cock up I did get a bargain last year, they sometimes do 2 for 1 online deals for oil.
So I order 2 x 4 litres for MoHo and 2 x 4l for car about £40

Then 1 week later 2 calls one visit later - no store delivery for pick up - nothing.

So I visit the store again and moan to the manager. success

He gave me the same oil product I ordered from his store stock, but they were 5Litres ones, and the till receipt was something stupid like £150 before the discount., down to £40

So 20 litres of semi and fully syth oil for around £40.

Oh and a couple of years back bought a TomTom online deal for around £160, went to pick it up and The spotty youth brought out the TOP model, in error, one which was at least £100 more.
Actually Halfrauds are great, because they cock up,:raofl::tongue:

You've never had one of the pro sets then.....
I've used them for years without a problem, good quality kits for the price AND a lifetime guarantee.

They have good offers at times and always worth a rummage in the bargain bin. If you buy a battery and it goes belly up, there's always a halfrauds nearby to replace it.

shiny chrome turning to a rust colour in a couple years!
well the pro set has lasted me over 30 years, done a fair bit of work, on my fourth 3/8 ratchet and my second 1/4 ''. never had a problem with rounded sockets or spanners, even the most popular, 10,13 and 17mm. excellent quality

Halfrauds are probably the most expensive place on earth to buy car parts. There is a dedicated car-battery shop on nearby Fylde Road in Preston and I have had excellent service from a company called Tanya Batteries who I have found to be the cheapest on Fleabay.

A bit like Starbucks and Costa-packet, at least Halfrauds will price match and with a little effort good deals can be had.

I tried Longton Battery services on Fylde Road Preston 1st; as I bought my last battery from them, but when I checked their website and clicked on leisure batteries not a single battery was advertised so I don't know if they have stopped supplying them or if it's just a glitch on their website page, unfortunately more important matters have cropped up in the last few days and I haven't had the time to call in and speak to them yet, hopefully will get into Preston in the coming week.

Regards
Phil

If the price is still advertised at the lower price on the tinternet then go in the store and ask for the battery but at the online price they have always honoured the price when I have done so.

Even better get a Halfords Trade card and the price drops right off for some things, batteries are one bulbs etc al drop right down.
