I used a bradawl and pliers. Aluminium profile got slightly distorted at the top in the process and the top of the tongue got chewed up by the pliers, with small bits breaking off.Mr laird. How did you get the broken bit out. Brian
It was tight getting it out the alloy but percivreed with a strong bladed knife and pliers ,it did loose shape a bit but I managed to dress it back to shapeMr laird. How did you get the broken bit out. Brian

Were the hinge parts supplied from France identical (to each other) or were they left- and right-hand parts respectively? The originals are slightly different according to whether they are for the left- or right-hand blind.Hi ref thread 16/17. Have finaly fitted mine. Small drill and slowly drilled the broken bit out. Caution the bits I got from France fitted. But one side is slightly larger. Possibly sand that side down before fitting. I didn’t. It fits but when in the open position it needs carefully handled releasing and locking. Brian.
Just google "Sugru" and you can order a 3 pack for under £10.I think you can buy it in B&Q, though I'm not sure. Not been in one of them this year.
