Habitation door lock replacement barrel Rimor Europeo NG5

Looks like I need a replacement habitation door lock barrel as the outer retainer as fallen off and got lost. The barrel now just falls out easily. I've searched the internet but can't find a replacement barrel with a long tang. Photos attached. Any help would be greatly appreciated. You can see from the photos the barrel as 2 grooves. One is thin and the other slightly thicker. Looks to me to be a FAP lock but can't find an exact replacement. Replacement lock assemblies are over £100

I think I would clean it all out, thoroughly degrease it and then glue it back with araldite

Sounds like a spot on plan to me.A fiver and you could do it over and over again

£2.95 for some glue from the local shop and the job is done. Thanks for your advice guys

the barrel

Do you have the cerclip?hold it togethed
No glue as it must turn
Large washer holds it to outer door from inside pannel
Mine fell onto installation inside door, picked/fished it out magnet on a stick.
If you melt a face of plastic on front and hot key pushed through ie tiddly wink vape bottle end

Remember locks are face value if no pins works on key, only you know

As its a continental make have a look at "Zadi" locks and keys ...download there catalogue ..these are the ones on my Knaus.:goodluck:

Second hand should be easy to get, looks identical to what was fitted on my CI I do believe both part of Trigano group so a pretty generic part

The mechanism in mine sheared some cheap horrible alloy when I was in France ...drilled and stapled it got it "welded " by a local bodyshop sanded it down no more issues.

TBH crappiest locks ever ..need something a bit more sturdy
