Habitation door cable

Ok. I have fiddled a little more and adjusted the cables.
I can close and open the door from outside but cannot open it from inside!!
Can anyone see the deliberate fault because I can’t!
When I took it apart the locking mechanism was just hanging so I assume u have put it back together correctly.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi
After removing the door panel on my 650F I noticed that the actuator was hanging down and although working, looked a little worse for wear!!
So, noticing that they were around only £10 I bought one from Amazon.
Everything looks the same but on fitting it, I couldn’t open the door from inside.
I then noticed that on the old one there is a slot where the plastic handle fits into.
In the new one there is just a hole and whilst it fits, there is not enough travel for the interior mechanism to open the door.
Try as I may, I cannot find similar so it looks like I shall have to pay Rapido prices unless anyone on here as a better idea.
I would much appreciate if you have.
Regards

Is the door adjustment very tight, on my Hymer if I don't push on the door it is impossible to open it, if you lock the mechanism with the door open does it open from the inside handle, or get someone to push on the door handle on the outside and see if you can then open it from the inside, if you can then adjust the lock slightly, mine is similar to this

Good point Terry. I have never owned a motorhome yet with a good fitting Hab door. I have spent hours sorting them out to get the best fit possible. On 2 vans it meant buying a new rubber door surround (bigger in profile to the original) to make the best of a bad job. :(

Just an afterthought. The door pins that connect to the door frame keep (as pictured above). Are they fitting correctly together? I used a piece of insulating tape (don't use black tape) wrapped around the pins and opened and closed the door a few times. Then I checked the tape to see if there was any heavy contact marking on the tape. Then I adjusted the keeps accordingly. The door then worked a lot easier (less force needed).
