Does anybody know what the dark grey matt patch that feels like sandpaper and looks like a dark tinted window from the distance on the roof of a low profile van painted with, that was some mouthful
Many boaters use masonry paint as deck paint, having used it myself it seems to work fine. Just prepare the area, mask it well and usually one coat covers all.
Cheers, the paint finish is ok really, its just that there is a few white marks on it, stains ect, when I try to clean it with a cloth or sponge bits of the sponge n cloth sticks to it, I`ll have a google for masonry paint, Thanks
I think you are right with the nonslip paint, heres a photo

have you tried with cleaning with a scrubbing brush the ones sold for bath cleaning are not too stiff and abrasive but the bristles do get to places sponges and cloths won't go, I use one all the time for cleaning places like the aluminium trim strips.
The rough paint is to stop it going to fast.
Don't forget to have textured or stir some sand into a smooth one if you still want a non slip surface
