Greece at last!!

Good morning.
We are now on the Péloponnèse port next to the Manchester City owner’s little boat in Nafplio Port.
What a great spot with the town so accessible.

Yes, stayed there a few times. Have seen police come around to tell folk to take in chairs etc. Some good tavernas in town and a lovely fish one along the coast in Nea Kios.

Never do anything else but Wildcamping.
Greece is the ultimate place for wilding.
It’s a long way to come but knocks spots off Spain and Portugal in my opinion.
Eating out is cheap. 30€ for the two of us with 500ml of wine suffices. Water is everywhere. Emptying is up to you but if you are sensible and don’t use chemicals, we never have any problem!!

Hi All
Well after 5 days frantic drive we have finally arrived in Igoumenitsa.
Quite a relief to escape Italy and the manic drivers. Do speed limits even exist in the Italian driver’s mind?
Decided on Brindisi as the ferry was much cheaper and we wanted to see a little more of Italy. 192€ single if you input SENIOR into promo code.
Mind you, as we opened up the phones a little too early when Corfu was sighted, we lost 100€ by attaching to Albania 4G for seconds before realising our mistake!
16€ per mo!!! What a rip off. Beware!
On our return, we think that we shall do Ancona or maybe drive the Albanian/Croatian coast.
Anyway it’s lovely to be here and now to find some deserted beach on which to idle away a few weeks.
Happy camping.
Finding any beaches which are not private is Italy is difficult. Italian roads are something else, more potholes than tarmac, even on the motorway into Rome which in the dark was a real issue. what a shocker. Autogas not allowed for domestic use.
Our ferry to Greece from Italy was "camping on board" where you sleep in your van. Our ferry did't catch fire, but it would'nt have been the first one....
Ferry staff and organisation, punctuality etc all pretty random chaos.

If you plan Meteora heres a good stop over
Meteora GPS: (39.70859, 21.65441) - Parking at Pension Arsenis catering for motorhomes, very friendly. Great access from here to the monasteries.
Meteora is an absolute must - you will be amazed.

Check out Epidavros, sea sand and parkups, cafe's shops and two ancient theatres.

Hi. Yes, we did Epidavros last time we were here. Very impressive.
Greece never changes- just as laid back as ever.
