Though in fairness to steve I won't reveal the exact location , I went to a great new britstop pub at the weekend we had been to one of our favourites up in Lincolnshire and decided to tour around sat because the wind was strong , we ended up nr Newarke and found this pub a 350 yr old coaching inn that's been in the same family for 70 yrs they have amassed an incredible 700 bottles of whisky on display all around the bar area ,they butcher and age their own steaks which were superb and they stock various real ales ie pedigree goosey gander , Batemans XB & Bass cask , they even plugged us in when I asked how much for the hook up we were told since you ate with us it's free will defo be back,

The steak and whisky pub is no527 its about 10 mls outside Newarke down the a17 , our shakedown stop is 535 another cracking little stop its a pub at the end of a rd where the ferry is no longer there and Mr beeching closed the railway so it's now like the tissington trail level cycling/walking for miles next to the river Witham good ale doom bar and another sharps ale Atlantis food very reasonable as well,
 
We have signed up with Britstops over 2 separate years and failed to ever find a use for it. We normally find that if we see a pub that we think we might want to stay at (which is not that often) we just go and ask.
 
We live fairly close to 527 and often take the van and have an evening meal there (steak of course), a few single malts and stay the night in the car park.

We find Britstops invaluable when we have those 'Let's bugger off in the van.. Hmmm, where shall we go' moments
 
Agree with El veterano never been turned away from a pub with a good car park but as eurodat says invaluable as a security blanket when you just want to tour a new area intend to go into Wales for a week when we leave Hereford & counting the two nights we were away this week I expect at least 4 stops out of the book this week those 6 nights easily pay the years fee,
