gps locations for wild camping

I think one of my suggestions was that the database was only available to Senior members but I made this point in reply to somebody suggesting that it shouldnt be too easily available or broadcast on the internet in case places got overrun. I dont have an issue sharing wild spots to be honest as i think we are in a minority and most people with motorhomes still prefer to be on a campsite. I reckon if we are all sensible and dont overcrowd places then there shouldnt be a problem with sharing this info. Perhaps if the database got off the ground there could be field for a recommendation for advisable number of vans on spot. One or two vans in a forest car park or beach is not going to cause too much concern but ten might. Personally I would drive off and find somewhere else if I thought a place was overcrowded or likely to cause problems or a visit from some authority.
Hi mates,
I didn't have internet the last weeks, thus a lot of catching up to do.
I only can second Barry's ideas. Don't make it too easy to collect info from this site ("Feind hört mit") especially when it concerns Britain. I reccon senior members should be trusted to have full info.
In the next days I'll post everything I have about wilding in Scandinavia (most with GPS) France, Belgium and a part of Germany (it will not hurt: too far away for UK hatchers :p)
I've also made 'compilations' of the UK (not only from our site but also from Rutgers site (and others)- many thanks-). If (?) I can ZIP them I'll try to @ them.;) Only ask,

John Thompson asked for a copy of my data, so I've sent it to him for review and comment.

My view is that the information is already available on this site. I have just made it easier to use.

Other members who were here long before me need to decide if it can be distributed or not ...
